It’s very soft and doesn’t quite have that plasticky wig shine. I ordered color 1, it’s a very close match to my own hair (dark brown, almost black) I only wish that this extension also came in a solid color like some of the lighter shades and not just ombre I’ve seen people complain that ponytail extensions with the claw clips leave tracks in your hair, but my hair is fairly thick so I didn’t really notice it. I like how it has the mesh pouch under the jaw clip so I can secure my hair and I don’t have to worry about blending my own ponytail with the extension; I do think this would be even better if the pouch had a drawstring option to secure my hair even further. I also really liked that you can't see the jaw clip at all under the hair! Surprisingly it doesn’t get tangled easily even though it’s pretty thick, it does feel a little heavy after wearing it for an hour but if I bring the hair over my shoulder it offsets the weight
